Safety Tips for Fishing

Fishing is a fun activity, but safety comes first. Learn the rules you need to follow on the boat and at sea.

Before Boarding the Boat

• Bring seasickness medication (if sensitive)
• Bring sunscreen, hat, and sunglasses
• Wear comfortable and non-slip shoes
• Bring a waterproof jacket (if weather is cold)
• Leave valuables at home

Safety Rules on the Boat

1. Life Jacket: Always wear a life jacket or keep it nearby. Mandatory for children.

2. Listen to Captain's Instructions: Stay in the safety zones shown by the guide and captain.

3. Be Careful: Don't run on the boat, avoid quick movements.

4. Rod Usage: Use carefully, hooks can injure. Be extra careful around children.

5. Avoid Falling Overboard: Stay balanced on the boat, you can lose balance even when sober.

Sun Protection

The Mediterranean sun is very strong! To protect from sunstroke:

• Apply sunscreen every 2 hours (SPF 50+)
• Wear a hat and sunglasses
• Stay in shaded areas if possible
• Drink plenty of water (stay hydrated)

Preventing Seasickness

• Have a light breakfast before the tour (don't go on empty stomach)
• Take seasickness medication (available at pharmacy without prescription)
• Stay in open areas on the boat (not indoors)
• Focus on a distant point
• Drink ginger tea (natural solution)

First Aid

All our boats have first aid kits. For minor injuries:

• Hook puncture: Immediately inform your guide
• Cuts: Wash with clean water, apply bandage
• Sunburn: Cool with cold water

Environmental Rules

• Release small fish back to the sea
• Don't litter, use trash bags
• Protect fishing grounds
• Don't enter prohibited areas
